Highlights from August

tBTC was integrated into two leading lending markets: Aave (on both Base and Arbitrum) and SparkLend. These listings open new opportunities for BTC holders to deploy capital across some of the largest DeFi ecosystems.

Things to Know

Ecosystem Growth

Aave (Base & Arbitrum): tBTC went live on Aave V3 Base and Arbitrum, with the approval of the improvement proposal. This extends tBTC access to two of the most active ecosystems for borrowing and lending.

SparkLend: tBTC was added as collateral with updated parameters: Maximum LTV set to 74% and liquidation Threshold raised to 75%. This positions tBTC as blue-chip collateral with stable rates.

Gearbox Protocol: The tBTC pool incentives have been extended until August 31 and have now concluded, with an average APY of around 4.9%.

Mezo: The $80,000 tBTC rewards program continued throughout August, strengthening liquidity on Ethereum L1.

OKX Wallet (Sui): The xBTC/tBTC pool is live with ~$1M TVL and boosted APRs reaching 427% on launch day. Incentives run until September 6.
